Happy Birthday Teena!!

Hi it's Christi, Deanna's daughter. Mom wanted to get this up on her blog asap but has been busy so I told her I would write a post for her so enjoy! -Christi

Today is my big sister's birthday and I wanted to make her something that came from my heart. My daughter Christi let me come over and raid her stamping stash and I saw this gorgeous stamp from Paper Makeup Stamps that I thought fit us perfectly. They are also doing a sketch challenge right now and I thought it would be fun to play along with that too.

Pink has always been Teena's favorite color and blue has always been mine so I based the colors of my card off of that. Teena really liked it and that makes me so happy. :)

Happy birthday sis!

TOO Much!

I have had soo much going on.....I have not even been motivated to do anything creative.

Life is just so fast and furious. The economy is so bad right now and I know too many people that are out of work right now. My brother in law Steve, One of my best friends Husband Tommy, One of my co-workers wife Darla, Another good friend of mine Laura and my son in law's job is unsure if it will continue after Dec. So I pray for everyone out of work. And I hope that things will get turned around really soon.

We are getting together this week to hopefully get some Mojo going on. Christi, Teena, Ana & Juanita for a swap at my house.

Well cheers to everyone.

Talk to you later.

Happy Birthday Christi

Christi made me two beautiful Mothers day cards. One from her and Shawna and one from my grandbaby's......How sweet is that. What a lovely day! I love my family more than words can say.

This is my mothers day card for Teena....she has always loved unicorns. I love my big Sis.

I love the way this card for my mom's mothers day card. Love you Mama.

Shawna my little sunshine. I love this stamp. It makes me happy like my Shawna does. Love you.

Christi has ALWAYS loved elephants so when I seen this stamp of course I think of her. I did this with a color challenge....pink, red, grey or black. I love the way this card turned out. I am proud. Love you babygirl.....Happy Birthday!

Today is my baby girl's b-day......I have seen her grown into such a lovely lady. She is also my friend and my sister in Christ {thanks God}. I was 18 and a 1st time mother 28 years ago. It is soo amazing to have children and watch them grow up....grow up along side them if the truth be know. I have always been so very thankful to have been Christi and Shawna's mama. I always prayed that God would help me be a good mom....I fell without that grace from the Lord. Life is such a journey...and who knows how long we have on this earth....I am not totally sure what all of it is for but I know and have a hope in the Lord.

Happy Mothers Day!

Today is also Mothers Day. I hope that my mother felt honored today....I love her so very much...just like she tells me...more that she knows. I made a spagetti dinner and had my Mother & Father, Christi & Todd, Shawna & David, Jaden, Eric, Peyton & Dylan. I love them all. It was so very good to have my family together.

This is a challenge that I got from a magazine. I thought it was really neet. I think it turned out pretty good.

PMS Party Challenge

Here's a PMS challenge card that I did from the release party last Sunday. Actually it is 2 challenges in one. One challenge was a sketch challenge and the other challenge was a color challenge (green, orange & white). I used a new Paper Makeup stamp called Argus with Teddy. I am loving it especially since I have 4 little monsters of my own. LOL! Thank you Christi for the awesome challenge. I know that I am late getting in on the drawing but I wanted to share what I did anyway.

I have been out of the loop for a while. I've been ill with a horrible throat thing for 2 weeks. I can't wait till I feel better....I hate being sick.

Peace Out!

Sunday, March 8, 2009

I know its been a while...life really can get very busy. Shawna finally had her galbladder removed after 3 years of suffering with it. The whole family came together and helped out with the kiddos. Mama & Daddy, Christi, Angie and of course Me. She had the operation last Monday I kept the boys 2 nights, then Angie took Peyton for 2 nights and I kept Jaden through today. Christi kept Peyton Saturday night. I really hope that Shawna gets to feeling better now. It seems like she has felt bad for a long time. I pray for my whole family. Teena also found out that she has shingles.....so she has not been feeling well either.
Plus my job has been so very hard lately...I try really hard to keep up with it but I ware too many hats at times and I can't be good with it all...it seems something always suffers. I pray for Gods strength. I have been feeling very exausted. I do try really hard at my job and I know that I do a good job...I think life is just tiring at times.

I did work on a few projects the week before last so I thought I would share that work.

This one was a challenge that I found in a magazine. Pretty much the layout. I like it...its simple but very nice. I used the Staming up butterfies stamps.....I love them. White and rose red. This was a get well card I did for Shawna. My own creation with Tree stamp that I had stamped at Christi's and have had it for a while and thought that it matched a get well sentiment. I love the green and blue. Its really wierd...the evening that I was working on these cards I felt like it just was not working then I just kept trying and did these three cards. :)

I have been loving my cuttlebug so I gave it some love and used it on the birthday card. I am loving this ribbon and how my bow turned out. Simple but nice.

Anyway....I hope to work on some stuff this week.....we'll see what this week brings.....life sure can be a roller coaster.
I pray God's blessings on everyone. He is ous hope!
Love to all!

Scrapping

Well....I finally finished my Cicistampers challenge #5, which was a scrapbook layout that Juanita chose. I had it done I thought then I showed it to Christi (MamaPeep) and all she could say was that "I like the layout". Well...that made me go back in there today and switch out a couple of the photo's and add some stuff to it....I still don't think it's my greatest...But I think I am happy with it. Scrapbook pages are not flowing yet. I am really used to doing cards. But a challenge is a challenge.

I also did a Bella color challenge. Pink, Turquoise, Olive Green and Gray. I would not usually pick these colors so it was definately a challenge....but I think it turned out pretty good.

Thank you Christi for sharing....I do not know what I would do without you.
